CONTINUING EDUCATION

CONTINUING EDUCATION GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Licensed real estate brokers and salespersons must satisfy continuing education requirements during each licensing period, December 15 of even-numbered years to December 14 of even-numbered years. Persons granted an original broker or salesperson license between 12/15/08 and 12/14/10 need not complete continuing education during the 2009 - 2010 licensing period. Renewal applications are sent to brokers and salespersons early in November of each even-numbered year. Brokers and salespersons must complete the continuing education requirement by December 14 of that year.

Effective 12/15/08 all licensees must complete 18 hours of continuing education in each biennium through six approved 3-hour courses. Courses 1, 2, 3 and 4 and two elective courses are required. The Stark Company School of Real Estate is offering the entire 6 course series on 5 separate occasions over this year. You may take the courses in any order, you may take some courses with other instructors and the rest with us, any way you wish to mix them is OK so long as you complete all 6 before Dec 15, 2010.

Agents who have received their orignal Wisconsin sales license in this biennium have satisfied these requirements and may renew their license this one time without further study. Agents who have studied for and obtained there Wisconsin Broker's test during this biennium are also deemed satisfied for this CE requirement. Sometimes an individual course for CRB, RS, and GRI have been approved by the Department of Regulation and Licensing for one of the elective courses and the student could receive concurrent credit for CE and CRS. Cost of each course will be $35.00.
