From Memorial Day celebrations to fun festivals and live performances, there's a little something for everyone. Here are five upcoming outdoor events perfect for a spring day or night out around Madison.

• Memorial Day Parade & Celebration – Main St., Cambridge, WI 53523
  The Village of Cambridge has a full day of events for you on Memorial Day, with their annual Memorial Day Parade & Celebration. Start things off with a pancake breakfast at the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department, which kicks off at 6:30am and goes to 12:00pm. The Memorial Day Parade begins at 10:30am on Main Street, followed by a memorial service at Veteran's Park. Wrap things up at the Memorial Day Celebration & Picnic with live music, great food, and an exciting duck race. It all takes place on May 26, 2025, in Cambridge.
  
  
• Picnic in the Park – Westmorland Park, 4114 Tokay Blvd., Madison, WI 53711
  Show your support for Madison's 280+ parks while having a totally groovy time at Picnic in the Park, a retro-themed annual fundraiser for the Madison Parks Foundation. Put on your best 70's-inspired threads and get ready to get down with Madison disco darlings VO5. You'll also enjoy themed cocktails and cuisine crafted by local chefs, plus a stellar silent auction. Picnic in the Park is on May 17, 2025, from 5:00 - 10:00pm at Westmorland Park. Tickets available online.   
  
  
• Farm to School Aid – Troy Farm, 502 Troy Dr., Madison, WI 53704
  Farm to School Aid is a family-friendly fundraiser for Rooted's Gardener-in-Residence program, which provides Madison school students with hands-on gardening education (the program unfortunately saw all of its federal funding abruptly cut at the end of April). Local food trucks Cafe Costa Rica, M&J Jamaican Kitch'n and Graze will be on hand, alongside REAP Food Group's food truck which features kid-grown produce. Live music from Tani Diakite & the AfroFunkstars, Cris Plata and Extra Hot, Free Dirt, and Dan Walkner Band will get the whole family dancing. Join the fun at Troy Farm on May 24, 2025, from 2:00 - 8:00pm. 
  
  
• Vegan Sausage Fest – Warner Park, 2930 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI 53704
  An event celebrating sustainability, eco-friendliness, and delicious vegan cuisine, Vegan Sausage Fest is back for another year in 2025. It's an excellent opportunity to try some truly outstanding vegan sandwiches, promising that living a vegan lifestyle is far from a requirement to enjoy these excellent vegan sausages. There will also be live entertainment throughout the day, with more details on performers and activities to be announced closer to the event. Look forward to it all on May 24, 2025, from 12:00 – 4:00pm, at Warner Park.
  
  
• Madison Irish Fest 2025 – Sun Prairie, WI 53590 / Fitchburg, WI 53575 / Madison, WI 53704
  Do you love Irish music and culture? Madison Irish Fest is a family-friendly, three-day event featuring tons of Irish entertainment from both local and national artists. It's a great mix of modern Irish music and traditional classics, perfect for a day of dancing and family fun. This year's Madison Irish Fest takes place at Awildan Distilling on May 30th, from 5:00 - 9:00pm, Four Winds Farm on May 31, 2025, from 1:30 - 9:00pm and at Garver Feed Mill on June 1, 2025, from 12:00 - 6:00pm.
