Local Wineries and Breweries to Visit as the Weather Warms Up | Stark Company Realtors

Summer is near, and there's nothing like sitting outside on a warm day, sipping a beer or a glass of wine. If that sounds like a slice of heaven to you, you're in luck. There are plenty of great places near Madison homes for sale where you can sip and savor all summer long. Here are a few of our favorite local wineries and breweries.

Best Madison Spots for a Summer Drink

Karben4 Brewing - Madison, WI

3698 Kinsman Blvd., Madison, WI 53704

If you want a laid-back place to enjoy high-quality beer, head to Karben4 Brewing. They have all sorts of beers, brewed in-house. Try one of their flagship beers, like their Midwesty pilsner or their very popular Fantasy Factory IPA. They also have seasonal favorites, like Supply Drop Tropical or Radikatz hazy IPA. Plus plenty of great food, including tavern classics like pizza, bacon-stuffed tots, and mozzarella sticks.

Come Wednesday for Cheap Date Night, and get a pizza, appetizer, and two beers for just $25. Or come Thursday for Brews + Q's Taproom Trivia.

Vintage Brewing Co. - Madison, WI

674 S. Whitney Way, Madison, WI 53711

If you want a place for a drink with friends after work, check out Vintage Brewing Co. The friendly atmosphere makes it a great hangout spot to sip beers like McLovin Irish red ale or Woodshed oaked IPA. Happy Hour is every Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m., with $2 off on Vintage taps, appetizers, cocktails, and mocktails. You can relax on the patio or head to the game room for a more active experience. Either way, you're sure to have a great time. They also have a location near Downtown Madison and one in Sauk Prairie.

Great Dane Pub & Brewing - Madison, WI

123 E. Doty St., Madison, WI 53703

In the mid-90s, Great Dane Pub & Brewing became Madison's first brew pub, and it remains a local favorite today. Their craft beers are brewed in-house, from their Landmark Lite American lager to their Dominator Doppelbock. Sip it outside with a sandwich, a burger, or a Mediterranean Falafel Bowl on their gorgeous outdoor patio that regularly finds itself on best-of local outdoor dining lists. And be sure to join their Stein Club for exclusive discounts, plus free beer on your birthday! Be sure to check out their other locations as well.

Drumlin Ridge Winery - Waunakee, WI

6000 River Rd., Waunakee, WI 53597

If you want delicious wines and beautiful views, head to Drumlin Ridge Winery. This family-owned winery near Waunakee homes for sale is surrounded by rolling hills, and they have plenty of delicious, reasonably priced wines, such as Cranberry Blush, Four Lakes Dessert Wine, and Triple Lindy, all made from estate grapes grown in their own vineyard.

Enjoy wine by the bottle or the glass in their tasting room or on the patio. They're also dog-friendly, as long as your furry friend is leashed and well-behaved. It's the perfect spot for a weekend outing or for unwinding after work.

The Lone Girl Brewing Company - Waunakee, WI
